Waveform
The waveform represents all the tracks of the album.
Like the Ed1 vinyl RED, this edition is dynamic, we can see many attacks of the music that gives this dynamic rendering. As opposed to the Ed2 CD version which is compressed.

Spectrum
The Spectrum allows to check the tonal balance of the music (balance between treble, medium and bass sounds) and to detect process that may have been carried out during the recording, the mixing, mastering or manufacturing phases. It is also possible to detect frequency interference issues.
The curve represents the average frequency distribution over the sample “Alone”.
The interesting feature on this curve is that the two curve from vinyl Black and Vinyl RED are superposed, with a with a small difference of less than 0.5dB above 15 kHz, the two vinyl used the same master.

Surface noise
The image below represents the surface noise of the two vinyls Black and RED. Below 200 Hz, which is the noisiest area, the levels of the two discs are identical. Above 200Hz, it is the black vinyl which is the less noisy with 10 dB of difference at 2 Khz.

Spectrogram
Spectrogram is another representation of frequency versus time of a track. For each channel (right and left), horizontal axis represents time, and the vertical axis represents frequency. The amplitude is represented by the intensity (brightness) of the color of each point in the image.
The spectrogram, the yellow arrow as for the spectrum , reveals the limit around 20 kHz due to the digital mastering. Beyond 20 kHz (white arrow), there is noise or distortion due to the vinyl playback method.

Ed6 : Hi-Rez Qobuz- 2021
Presentation

Waveform
The waveform represents all the tracks of the album.
The waveform clearly shows the compression of the dynamics ( like Ed2 CD) compared to Vinyl (Ed1) and Streaming (Ed3). With a DR7, you can see some samples in the yellow areasof the track where the signal is compressed.

TThe two curves (Hi-Rez Quobuz and Streaming) are superposed. So we will have the same tonal balance.

The spectrogram, the yellow arrow as for the spectrum , reveals the limit around 20 kHz due to the digital mastering. Beyond 20 kHz (whitearrow), there is no signal represented by the black lines.
