Qobuz adds the audiophile formats DSD and DXD

Qobuz now offers downloads for the audiophile formats DSD and DXD.
The DSD format on offer is DSD64 (2.8 MHz), which corresponds to the version used for SACD.
DXD is a more recent format offering 24-bit PCM at 352.8 kHz, and is a superior reference format to DSD64. It is used for very high-resolution processing of formats up to DSD256.

Here are a few examples of DXD albums we’ve reviewed:

To find albums tested in DSD, you can search for DSD or SACD in the MagicVinylDigital.net search box.

On the Qobuz website, you can find lists of available DSD and DXD albums.

Hopefully, Qobuz will continue in this direction, offering Atmos albums in Dolby Digital TrueHD (lossless format).
