Norah Jones – ‘Til We Meet Again – Review

With almost twenty years of career, 9 Grammy Awards, the singer, songwriter and pianist, Norah Jones presents her first live album.


The first single from it is a revisited version of the classic “It Was You”. The song was recorded at the 2018 Ohana Festival in California, with Pete Remm on organ, Christopher Thomas on bass and Brian Blade on drums.
The collection includes performances recorded between 2017 and 2019 in 4 corners of the globe, including the United States, France, Italy, Brazil and Argentina.
Other guest musicians on the album include bassist Jesse Murphy, guitarist Jesse Harris, flutist Jorge Continentino and percussionist Marcelo Costa.
The 14 tracks on ‘Til We Meet Again span the entirety of Norah Jones’ career, from her early hits “Come Away With Me” in 2002 to her most recent singles “It Was You,” “Falling” and the Grammy-nominated “I’ll Be Gone.


The album includes a masterful solo piano cover of Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun,” recorded at Detroit’s Fox Theatre in the days following Chris Cornell’s death.
