Hello
as we saw in the previous review of Beethoven’s 7th symphonie reissued by Deutsche Grammophon on vinyl discs in pure analogue : The Original Source.

The record we tested was made from a 4-track quadraphonic master tape that was mixed in stereo. If you’re interested in other discs, Deutsche Grammophon has just put some new albums on pre-sale (Estimated delivery: 09/29/2023), so here’s the list below (direct link in each picture):

Pure analogue (AAA) is currently making a comeback on old productions like Deutsche Grammophon’s, and we can congratulate them because it’s something that’s becoming increasingly difficult as tapes wear out and risk disappearing in the years to come.
In more modern production we find Kirsten Edkins Shapes & Sound,
produced here entirely in analogue by Kevin Grey’s Cohearent Records, a recent recording made on legendary equipment, with the famous Studer C37. This is a pure analogue tape recorder with over fifty tubes, offering excellent bandwidth and signal-to-noise ratio.

This tape recorder was used for recording. For the mastering recorder, it’s a hybrid model with A80 transport and C37 electronics.
The Shapes & Sound jazz album was recorded entirely in analogue and is only available on vinyl, which we will be reviewing shortly.
