Tidal stops support of MQA and Sony 360 RA (Reality Audio)!

From July 24, Tidal will be abandoning the MQA format altogether, which is no surprise since the migration to FLAC format has already been underway for several months.
The surprise comes from the abandonment of Sony 360 Reality Audio in favor of Dolby Atmos. The 360 RA format is more difficult to process, as few devices are compatible with Dolby Atmos.
This is a second defeat for Sony’s format, which has already been abandoned by Deezer.
Only Amazon Music now offers 360RA.
Dolby Atmos thus confirms its leading position.
It remains to be hoped that streaming services will offer Dolby Atmos in the lossless Dolby Digital TrueHD format.
